Sauna & Steam Rooms = Home Relaxation
With the pressures and stress we all face in today's hectic world it is no wonder
that so many people are turning to old & traditional methods to relax and unwind, including Finnish
saunas and Turkish steam baths!
But what is the difference between using a sauna & a steam room?
- The air in a sauna cabin is heated by hot, porous stones that emit a lasting heat and because
the humidity in a sauna is low the cabins are usually made of softwoods such as knotless pines.
- With steam rooms the water vapour carries the heat & the wall construction is typically
acrylic, tile or marble/stone. A steam room is cooler although
they often feel warmer.
