Steam Baths/Shower Conversion Kits

The steam bath can be traced as far back as the ancient Greeks and then was subsequently adopted by the Romans as the "Sudatorium" which almost invariably formed part of the Roman baths of the period throughout the entire Roman Empire. In Turkey, the steam bath, or "Hamam" has survived the thousands of years and with it our continued use of the term "Turkish bath".

The idea of installing a Turkish Steam Bath facility at home may seem daunting but in fact using HELO's steam kit to upgrade your existing shower, it couldn't be simpler!

  • Fit a steam generator in the loft or suitable cupboard
  • Rest a purpose made acrylic dome on the shower frame
  • Fix a fold up seat to the shower wall

The steam generator is compact and can be easily installed into a cupboard, airing cupboard or even in the loft above the bathroom, it must be fitted within 5 metres of the shower enclosure and where water & electric services can be easily routed.

To keep the steam within the shower cubicle a clear or opaque finish acrylic dome rests over the top of the shower walls and is fitted with special brackets which also allow for easy removal for cleaning.

To be able to fully relax in the steam shower a seat is essential and a folding seat can be fixed to the wall which fold up for normal showering. The seats are available in white polycarbonate or a wood finish with neat wall brackets and tested to maximum weight 16 stone.

Additional features can be supplied to enhance your steam bath experience such as digital control panels, steam proof lights and even stereo kits for in shower sounds. We can also provide shower wall panels that are insulated for optimum steaming and if a domed ceiling will not fit or a larger area needs to be covered, ceiling panels can be arranged.

So, all you need to do is contact us with the size of your shower tray and we can advise you on the size of generator and then it's full steam ahead!
