Pool Enclosure installation at a school in Surrey

Summit Leisure installed their new Enclosure and a new rubber chip floor surround to this school in the Surrey area. They are now able to use the pool all year around if they wish no matter what the weather.

The original pool looked tired and in need of some TLC so Summit designed a pool enclosure that would attach to their existing school building – taking into account all the outside guttering and windows that conflicted with the pool building. A special design enabled us to design a building to fit this space giving as much usable space as possible. With little on site preparations and additional costs the building was adapted to sit inside this space.

To gain maximum headroom, floor space and give the children an environment that could be used most of the year, we also laid our rubber chip flooring which gives the feeling of a larger indoor space. Not only does the rubber chip floor give a warm feel to bare feet on cooler days but also on hot summer days will keep the flooring cool in comparison to traditional paving slabs. A mixture of colours were chose to compliment the surroundings. This static style enclosure will now give the children somewhere to swim no matter what the weather.

Before the enclosure was installed the school pool was in an ideal place, totally private in an enclosed courtyard behind the school. Now not only is the school pool private, it is safe and it can be used all year around. However this enclosure was not a standard size building, there were lots of adaptions that needed to be made on site and scale drawings prepared to achieve the end product. The area the enclosure has been made to fit suits the schools criteria and finally we produced a product that ticked all the boxes for them... I think Summit have done just that!
