Laying the swimming pool’s block walls

Once the foundations have hardened and cured, the blocks are laid to build up the walls. Starting at the corners first, dimensions are continually checked to ensure the walls are straight and square. If a pre-formed roman end or square stair is to be installed, this is placed onto the foundation and secured in position using shuttering boards. As the courses of block work are build up, the roman end or stair must be tied into the block work using steel reinforcing bar at each course.
